Airdrie is a city in Alberta that is located just north of Calgary. It is home to about 40,000 residents and it is often referred to as a bedroom community because many of its residents live here however, they commute and work in downtown Calgary.
Nose Creek Park is one of the city's most favoured landmarks. The Nose Creek Valley Museum, the Bert Church Live Theatre and Iron Horse Park are three other popular landmarks in Airdrie. There is a large Canada Day Parade in Airdrie every year as well as a notorious rodeo called the Airdrie Pro Rodeo and a beautiful Festival of Lights which happens every Christmas.
The city of Airdrie itself has a fairly industrious feel. There are many big box stores here as well as shopping malls. The two most visited malls in Airdrie are the Tower Lane mall and the Yankee Valley Crossing Mall.
