Langley is a small city in British Columbia and it is one of the twenty-one municipalities that make up of Metro Vancouver. Its 25,000 residents live in Langley's six neighbourhoods of Nicomekl, Douglas, Simonds, Blacklock, Alice Brown and Uplands. Langley is neighboured by the municipalities of Surrey and Cloverdale. People that live in Langley work in a wide variety of industries in Langley itself as well as in downtown Vancouver and its surrounding areas.
Every year, many Vancouverites come to Langley for their annual Langley Cruise-In. This is a big car show held in Langley every fall. The Arts Alive Festival that is held in Langley every August is also a very popular local festival.
Two of Langley's most famous residents are Brett Lawrie and Svein Tuft. Brett Lawrie is a baseball player on the Toronto Blue Jays Major League Baseball team. Svein Tuft is a professional cyclist.
