Yukon is one of the three territories in Canada and it is the most northwestern region of Canada. Like its neighbor the Northwest Territories, it is a cold region of Canada in which many Native Americans live. The northern reaches of the Yukon have an arctic climate while the southern region including the capital of Whitehorse is a warmer place to live as it borders on British Columbia.
Tourism is actually one of the biggest industries in the Yukon. Many nature lovers flock here annually to revel in the simple beauty of this territory. Visitors come to the Yukon to ski, snowboard, hunt, fish, kayak, ice climb, snowmobile or even to go for a dog sled.
One of the Yukon's main outdoor attractions is Mount Logan. Mount Logan is the highest mountain in Canada and it is actually still growing in height.
Many tourists also come to the Yukon for the Yukon International Storytelling Festival, the Dawson Music Festival, Yukon Quest, the Frostbite Music Festival, and Sourdough Rendezvous.
