Looking for a mechanical millwright to work for an expanding cosmetics manufacturer in Etobicoke. This is a position with both afternoon and evening shift times available. The successful candidate will be reporting to the mechanical engineer supervisor and would be responsible for the following:
·Routinely inspecting and examining all machinery and equipment for malfunctions and irregularities and notifying the Senior Maintenance Manager/Head of Maintenance
·Installing, aligning, dismantling and/or moving stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors when needed
·Operating hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, and jacks, to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery
·Performing maintenance procedures such as sharpening tools, adjusting, clean, lubricating, repairing and/or replacing equipment
·Assembling machinery and equipment prior to installation
·Maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping standards of the work site
·Maintaining records of equipment parts used and provide inventory levels updates on a regular basis
The successful candidate must:
·Be able to comply with all safety and health regulations (PPE, lock out procedures, etc.)
·Be in possession of a high school diploma or equivalent as well as the relevant designation
·Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry dealing with machine operation
·Be flexible and able to lift up to 25kg at a time
·Be able to handle a work environment where noise, dust and motorized equipment are present
Assets
·Valid red seal industrial millwright license/433A certification (strong asset)
·WHMIS, Pallet Lift Truck, Forklift certifications and/or Red seal experience
