FGA is looking for a Controls and Robotics Engineers that will assist with equipment start-up, debug, troubleshooting, throughput and enhancement of the Automated equipment at the Build Shop, and at the customer site.
*50% or greater travel requirement.
*Authorized to work in Canada, United States and Mexico.
*Full time and long-term contract positions available.
Responsibilities and Duties
Controls Engineer
- Lead Controls/Intermediate project Engineer.
- Familiar with Buyoff procedures
- Building our customer relationships.
- Help recruit resources as needed for projects.
- Assist with electrical and software design when required.
- Start-up, debug and troubleshooting of robotic automation equipment at the Build Shop and customer's site.
- Throughput enhancement at customer's site.
Qualification and Experience:
- Thorough knowledge of PLC, HMI and Robotic integration utilizing Control Logix and/or Siemens controls hardware.
- Extensive commissioning experience.
- Hardware and Software design experience.
- Build or Body Shop experience is a definite asset.
- Familiar with GM, Fiat Chrysler and Tier1 standards.
- GM GCCS2, GCCH1 certified is an asset.
- Position requires travel to customer's locations.
Robotics Engineer
- Possess a thorough knowledge of Robotic integration and engineering
- Fanuc, ABB, Kuka or other.
- Interference Zone configuration.
- I/O Configuration.
- Auto Debug and troubleshooting with PLC.
- Material handling, Spot welding, and Sealing/Dispensing.
- Vision system experience is a asset.
- Cycle time reduction and throughput improvement
- DCS/SafeOp/SafeMove
- Mastering, TCP, OLP's and Payload.
Qualification and Experience:
Has previous experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry and can work in a team or independently to solve problems. Has excellent communication skills, is a self starter, organized and maintains an excellent work ethic.
Fiat Chrysler, GM, Ford, Tier 1, Bodyshop and Buildshop experience is an asset.
GRS certification is an asset.
Requirements:
- Valid US/CAN/MX Passport
- Eligible for a TN Visa
- Senior Lead Controls Engineer 5+ years
- Intermediate Controls Engineer 2-5 years
Education:
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree will consider College diploma as a minimum, or related field of study and/or equivalent industry experience
