Your opportunity
Based in Ontario, BDO is looking for a Public Sector Account Manager to lead the client-engagement conversation and provide outstanding Account Management & Growth, as well as continue to develop and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders that will position BDO as their digital transformation partner.
The primary focus of this role is to manage Public Sector Accounts with a specific set of predetermined offers and to successfully position our professional services portfolio (Technology, Management Consulting, Risk Advisory) with new and current stakeholders inside the named accounts. Our ideal new team member is proven to confidently engage with clients on their business challenges and investigate the client's needs, as well as mastering the ability to listen, learn and respond to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction.
The Account Manager reports to the BDO Sales Leader responsible for the Public Sector within BDO Consulting.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Manage the complete sales and procurement cycle associated with all client opportunities applicable to the role
Build relationships with Public Sector Target Departments
Ensure the necessary procurements are in place to do business with Public Sector clients
Coordinate and manage RFx responses for Public Sector clients
Drive revenue by enabling efficient and effective sales cycles through the implementation of standardized proposals
Display credible knowledge of BDO, and their strategic partners, workloads and technology solutions
Build and own holistic client plan detailing critical insights and new business opportunities
Consistent and predictable in managing the Solution-led businesses focused on the needs of our clients
Remain in frequent contact with the clients in your responsibility to understand their needs
Engage in professional after-sales support to enhance the client's dedication
As applicable, extend a proficient level of expertise related to all solutions within BDO's portfolio

Your experience and education

Must have:
Experience in Account Management, Sales/Business Development, Customer Support, or other relevant experience
Success-driven, works well in a diverse team and enjoy a dynamic and changing environment
Natural curiosity
Excellent communication skills (speaking, listening, writing, presenting)

High EQ

Nice to have:
Relevant Post-Secondary Education or equivalent experience
Experience in cloud services, Microsoft technology suite, including Data & AI, Business Applications

Experience in professional service

Experience in Public Sector
