This position is with Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division, a global technology leader, pioneering end-to-end solutions industry leaders rely on for assured positioning and autonomy on land, sea and air. Within the Autonomy & Positioning division your work will contribute to the operation of our brands NovAtel and AutonomouStuff.
The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in Calgary, Alberta and we offer hybrid work once training and onboarding are completed.
As a Product Quality Specialist, responsibilities include:
- Prepare quality plans
- Audit work products and projects within ASPICE compliant programs
- Contribute to assessing software development work products including peer reviews of documents and code reviews to defined processes and checklists
- Participate in assessing ASPICE process compliance of projects
- Work with project teams on a daily basis to assist in correct execution of development processes
Must-Have:
- Engineering degree (electrical engineering with software development exposure OR software engineering)
- 2-3 years of software quality management experience
- 5+ years’ experience in software development in an automotive environment
Key Success Factors:
- Attention to detail in checking the use of templates, development standards, and checklists
- Excellent communication skills will be used to discuss quality non-conformances with the project teams, explain the findings, provide suggestions to solve the issues, and follow up on the implementation of the corrections
Nice-to-Have:
- Supported ASPICE assessments up to level 3 (in any role of an automotive project)
- ASPICE certification as a provisional assessor
