Coast Aggregates, A Division of Lafarge Canada Inc. is looking for an Administrative Assistant for our Squamish location. Coast Aggregates sell top quality construction aggregates, sand, decorative rock and organic top soil throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor. We work in a fast paced office environment with a busy Landscape Depot. This role will primarily involve ticketing and processing payments for our Landscape Depot pickup customers, booking delivery orders and answering any general inquiries. You must thrive in a busy environment, enjoy dealing with customers and helping out the rest of the team when needed.

  • Assist all Landscape Depot pick-up customers (both on the phone and in person) in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ticket aggregate products
  • Book Landscape Depot delivery orders for customers
  • Communicate with Landscape Depot yard staff (via company radio)
  • Answer telephones and respond to, or direct inquiries
  • Receive and distribute packages
  • Check in/out Visitors
  • Scan, file & save documents
  • Data entry

Training and Experience:

Previous reception, administrative, or Customer Service experience required (minimum 6 months)

Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills. With good working knowledge of Word, Excel
  • Experience with G-Suite products is an asset (Gmail, Google Sheets etc)
  • Must have excellent telephone manner
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanour at all times
  • Professional attitude and willingness to assist customers and coworkers

This position is a full time hourly position with hours of 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday. Pay is dependent on experience.
