About The opportunity

In this experienced level position, you will have a strategic role as a project leader, or work under the direction of a Project Manager to develop design concepts which are incorporated in final product by Designers and Engineers.

You will assume responsibility for

• Effectively manage assigned projects through the municipal design approval process as the Engineer of Record for the project.
• Direct involvement with the detail design process, guidance of technical support staff as needed to ensure completion of the design objectives, approvals and documents ready to be issued for construction.
• Track project progress and obtain authorizations/approvals for changes in schedule/scope.
• Resolve more complex issues during both design and construction phases.
• Contract Administration and Management.
• Project management of assigned projects including budget tracking and invoicing.
• Provides mentorship and evaluation of junior staff.

About you

• You have minimum of 6 years of local experience in the design of land development projects
• Registered as a P.Eng. with the province of work
• Exceptional project management skills
• Experienced and knowledgeable of technical design issues, constructability, cost, and design approvals
• Experienced and knowledgeable of tender preparation with construction administration experience preferred
• Valid Driver's License is required
