Electrical Engineering Lead - Automotive

Our client’s teams of engineers have designed a whole new kind of smart inverter. In addition to its inverters, our client’s suite of patents covers the powertrain architecture, inverter topology and cutting-edge software to keep this new design running at peak performance. This breakthrough engineering works with all vehicle manufacturers, vehicle types, motors and batteries. As the Electrical Engineering Lead, you will be working with CTO, R&D team, customer’s engineering team as well as suppliers to complete the final design-for-manufacture and integration of the product.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead automotive inverter design requirement analysis
  
• Manage technical team of highly skills Engineers
  
• Design tasks breakdown and assignment for team
  
• Responsible for project delivery milestones and cost
  
• Participate and establish automotive inverter design standards
  
• Deliver design for inverter power module and control module, from concept design to detailed design
  
• Lead design review process
  
• Develop test plan, conduct testing and troubleshooting
  
• Support team and work with customer in system and vehicle integration
  
• Develop new product in electric vehicle propulsion and charging
  
• Bench-marking
  
• Work with international team to develop technology roadmap
  
• Work with international team to define new product
  
• Work with University researchers on R&D technology assessment and optimization
  

Your Experience will Include:

• Proficient PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other technical software)
  
• Ability to travel internationally
  
• Excellent communication skills and time management
  
• Previous automotive industry experience is essential
