Profile
The Material and Processes Engineer/Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) specialist will be part of Materials and Processes Engineer team, who will be responsible for NDT inspections, developing procedures and investigations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop NDT inspection procedures for various aircraft, as well as design NDT calibration reference standards for in-service aircraft
- Offer NDT expertise for investigation of parts
- Provide primary technical expertise and leadership in resolving manufacturing issues in the Operations, Quality, Customer Support and Supply Chain departments
- Perform technical audits of suppliers and follow-up on corrective actions
- Review and implementation of current and new De Havilland processes to maintain industry leadership
- Travel regularly to perform audits of special processes at suppliers
- Participate in research and development projects involving new materials and advanced NDT technologies
Education and Experience
- University’s Bachelor’s Degree: Engineering degree in Materials, Metallurgy or Mechanical engineering, licensed or eligible as an PEO
- Certified as a CGSB, ASNT or NAS-410 NDT Level 3 in Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, Penetrant and Magnetic Particle testing and having an in-depth knowledge in Radiography
- 5+ years of experience in a similar or direct discipline
Skills
- Intermediate expertise in offering of NDT support
- Intermediate user knowledge of MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
